Need advice on best way to trigger flow from SSIS

I am trying to just logically think this through and more heads are better than one.  I have a monthly SSIS job that runs on the 1st.  It gets data out of a database and creates a text (.dat) file and delivers it to a network share.  This file name is dynamic based on the date of the SSIS job, but maintains a ".dat" extension.

I need to have a flow email a copy of that file to a manager who wants it.  I also will be creating a Power App so she will be able to get this file "on demand".  My struggle right now is what would the trigger to this flow be?  I thought I might create a table that stores the datetime value that the procedure is run and thought using the SQL connector in flow (item created) that it would work, but it seems not to be working.  (Does flow have an issue still is on-prem SQL?).  As a side note, I have the connection using a data gateway and in Power Apps, the tables are being show for the connected database, but they are not in the flow connector.

Am I overthinking this and is there a much easier way to maybe do this?  Thanks for the advice.

UPDATE:  I have it working doing this:  When the SSIS job runs, I have it saving the file to the URL of a SharePoint Document Library and it is working great and then I am using that as the trigger.  Now, can I use flow to copy that file from the Sharepoint to the file share and what connector would I use?

Re: Need advice on best way to trigger flow from SSIS

Hi @guyinazo,

Thanks for updating. I am glad to hear that you have figured out a solution.

There is a limitation currently, SQL Server doesn’t work for on-premises SQL Server. Please check the following blog for more details:

https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/introducing-triggers-in-the-sql-connector/

Where do you want to save the file share? If it is on your local disk, please consider using connector File system. Please check the doc on Filer system for more details:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/filesystem/
