Hi @Eswar1 ,

You can add the 'Delete file' action after the 'Created action' to delete the original file.

Hi @Eswar1 ,

Where is the document set(in SharePoint or oneDrive)?

You want to add the document set name to the file name or as the file content?

Could you please provide more details?

Dear v-zhos-msft

These are the details for your query:

  1. The Document set is in Sharepoint.
  2. The document set name should be added to the file name.
  3. Document set name is file type and it is a combitination of student id and student name (Eg : StudentId: 123 , Student name :xyz; document set name: 123 - xyz).

Please let me know if you need any more informatin.

Thanks,

Eswar

Hi @Eswar1 ,

I am afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently.

There is no action about rename the file.

You can only use the 'Create file' action to create a new file with a new name.

I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following workaround:

Dear v-zhos-msft,

Thanks for the swift response and the test solution.

I am able to rename by using this approach & ran the flow by using the conditions, you mentioned, however I am facing the issue.

  1. The flow is for individual file in a document set/Folder  ( Is there a dynamic way, to achieve this for all newly created document sets in the Library : Eg Document Set A:File Name, Document setB: FileName).
  2. Also there is a Infinite loop and this is causing multiple item entries in the document set.( Which Shouldn't happen).

Please find the attached Screen shots, kindly suggest a approach to avoid duplicates & dynamic values generation for newly created document sets .

Thanks,

Eswar1

(Have a Good Day!)

Hi @Eswar1 ,

For the first question, as we can see, the file is created in a specific folder, and there is no action about get all folder in a library.

So I am afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently.

For the second question, I have remade a flow, please take a reference:

Hi v-zhos-msft,

Thanks for the reply, I have tested the solution and its working and the document set name is appending the file name.

However the uploaded file still remains in the document library, along with the newly created file name  which is not what we are looking for as this needs to be automated, Can we have only the newly appended name & any workaround for this?

Please find the attached screen shot (Eg: 1456 -EswarIndex should be present & Index should be removed).

Can we have a workaround for this,

Many Thanks.

Eswar
