Not able to open email (.msg) file locally, created at sharepoint using Flow?

Hi All,

I used .msg as a file type while saving an Outlook 365 email to Sharepoint using flow.

I can preview it in SharePoint, but it is not opening locally."

So, I want to know that, how to open it locally?

Hi @vaibhavvijay9 

Try ".eml" instead of ".msg" in your "Create File" > "File Name"

This should work as it works for me.

When you create the file it will also contain any attachments.

Be sure to to use an .eml extension otherwise you can't open the file once downloaded.

Is there a way to save the entire email as it appears within Outlook? What my process needs to do is export the entire email message as a PDF. There's no direct feature for that, so now I'm looking at creating a file (.eml or .msg) that is effectively the entire email message. Then use Convert to PDF to generate the PDF from that.

Your trying to convert an email in Outlook to a PDF? Why don't you just use the Adobe Pro add on? 

You could also save the e-mail as an EML as indicated above and then convert it to a PDF, if SharePoint flows allow that.
