One Drive File Linking to Planner Expiring

Hi Everyone,

I built a Flow that allows me to forward an email to myself using the prefix of [Planner] in the subject.  When the email arrives a Planner task is created using the subject (without the [Planner] prefix).

The flow takes the email, converts it to a PDF, moves the PDF and all attachments to a onedrive folder and creates links in the planner task.

This all works perfectly except that after some period of time (not sure how long) when I click on the link in planner I get a "token expired" error and I can't access the link to the file anymore from Planner.

The folder has me as the owner so I am not sure what the problem is...

The issue is maybe related to the "Create share link" for one drive.  I am using a Link Type of Direct and my Link scope is Organization.

Can anyone give me some tips?

Re: One Drive File Linking to Planner Expiring

Hi @tyson_ETC ,

I have some updates for you.

The issue could be confirmed by me. However, I am afraid that it is default behavior that the shared link created by flow will expire within a specific time.

When sharing a file on OneDrive, an expire date will be set as well.

May you consider submitting a request on Flow Ideas Forum to expand the Expire date of the shared link created by Flow:

Thanks for your understanding.

Best regards,

Mabel

Hi @tyson_ETC ,

Could you share a screenshot of your flow?

It seems that you would like to create a Planner task when an email arrives and insert a link to the converted PDF file in the Planer task.

I have created a flow likes below which is working without any issues.

Please try to update your connection than try again with it.

Re: One Drive File Linking to Planner Expiring

Good news @v-yamao-msft !  I don't need to upload my flow now 🙂  the one you uploaded is exactly the same.

The issue I have is that anything linked between onedrive and planner in this method expires rather quickly and I can no longer access the file using the link.

This is the error I get, basically the Token only seems to be valid for the 1 day when the planner link is created.
Sorry, something went wrong
The access token has expired. It's valid from '4/3/2019 8:35:48 PM' and to '4/3/2019 9:35:48 PM'.

Re: One Drive File Linking to Planner Expiring

Hi @tyson_ETC ,

Do you mean that the file link that added on the planner could not be reached once the access token has expired?

I will test this issue and back to you later.

Best regards,

Mabel

Thanks for looking.

I have had to drop my solution and move away from planner.
