POWERAPPS FOR MAKERS: Get App

Hello, I'm trying to use the PowerApps for Makers: Get App Action. I put in the EXACT name of my app ("This App"), but the Flow immediately fails with the error:

{ "error":
    { "code": "ApplicationNotFound", "message": "The application 'This App' could not be found in the tenant '0e1609b0-5e7f-4722-8611-c7f3067cebdc'." }
 }

I've tried placing the app name in both single and double quotes with no success. Whats going on here? Thank you

Re: POWERAPPS FOR MAKERS: Get App

Hi @ericonline,

The Name field mentioned in the document refers not to Display name, but to name inside the attribute.

I did a test on my side, using Get Apps to get all the apps, then populating the name in Get App action and getting the information about the app.

Please take a try again.

Re: POWERAPPS FOR MAKERS: Get App

Thank you @v-bacao-msft. Your suggestion worked well. One thing to note: Many of the values returned are duplicated multiple times.

Example

flowPowerAppsForMakersDuplicates.png

  • The 'displayName' parameter appears 4 times in the results:
    • One is for my displayName as the author
    • The other is for the displayName of the app
    • Unsure of what the other 2 refer to

This could lead to confusion when calling certian parameters. Please consider raising this issue with the dev team.
EDIT: Found this great blog post by John Liu that explains the duplicate parameters showing.

Take care!

Re: POWERAPPS FOR MAKERS: Get App

Hello @v-bacao-msft. How do I get info about a single app? I have 63 apps in various stages from testing to production. The Flow takes a long time to run and I only need info on one app at time.

Thank you!
