Planner flow that includes: Assigned To, Due Date, Task Title, and Description

Hi Everyone!

Does anyone have a flow/Planner template they can share with me to acheive the following?

EVery day at 9am, I want Flow to send my team an HTML table of all the outstanding tasks with:

1. Task Title

2. Due Date

3. Assigned to

4. Task Description

I have tried a few of the templates already available at flow.microsoft.com, but couldn't get what I need. Of course, I tried editing those templates myself to fit my needs and still couldn't reach my objective.

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi @AHS20188 ,

Please try the following method to configure Flow. You could configure Flow based on Template-Send a digest email of all outstanding Planner tasks.

Set Recurrence to trigger Flow at nine o'clock every day.

Delete Filter array and Select action and add the following configuration.

  • Initialize two variables, one to store AssignedTo and one to store the contents of HtmlTable.
  • Iterate through all the tasks and use Condition to filter out the unfinished tasks.
  • Traverse value assignments and append the user display name to the variable.
  • Use Get task details to get the description and append the relevant properties to the table. Note that AssignedTo variable needs to be cleared each time.

Please take a try.

Re: Planner flow that includes: Assigned To, Due Date, Task Title, and Description

Thanks for providing this example, it's really helpful. However, when I try to implement the same flow. I get the following error:

BadRequest. The property 'columns' must be specified unless the 'from' property value is an array of objects

The above error is encountered when running "Create HTML table".

Thanks
