Polling to change field values used to determine ticks.

I understand how to use the "Ticks" function as a means to determine the difference between two dates in a list when and Item is entered or when an item is modified but what about when we are using Today() or Now()? Does Power Automate have polling or can I create a trigger that runs on a timer every morning in order to get the correct difference between dates?
