Power Automate · Generate Outcome PDF

Hello,

 

Is it possible to generate a PDF with the approval outcome(s), for it to be attached to an email notification?

 

If yes, please guide me on how to go about it.

However, could you please guide me on how we're coming up with the File Name. It's a bit unclear to me. Thanks!

HI @momureithi 

 

That's just a temporary file that is used to generate the PDF.

You save it, create the PDF based on that HTML and then delete it, so you can call it anything.

Thanks, @manuelstgomes. Made a bit of progress.

1) The attachment bears the name "test". If I'd like to have the attachment bear the actual file name, how do I go about that?

To answer your questions:

1. The name is defined in the "create file." You can call it anything and add an extra step after sending the email that is to delete that temporary file. 

2. That's where you define the "columns" that you're sending. You're already doing it bellow where you map the columns the entities.

Hi @manuelstgomes

I was able to sort out the file name challenge. Many thanks!

However, based on this, the output fetches and displays all the information on my SharePoint list, whereas I just need it to capture information pertaining to a specific request. Is this caused by using the Get items action?

I have tried using the Get item action, but I am unable to move past the Create HTML table section since I have no "value" from the previous steps to input in the From field.

Please help.

Hi @momureithi 

 

Indeed the "Get Items" is used to generate a table of multiple items. The "Get Item" you'll get a single value and, therefore, doesn't make much sense to create a table with one value..

 

For one value you can create an email with all values in it and send it since it's just one value.
