Question about using Instant flow to upload a document with metadata

Hello,

I'm using these instructions to attempt creating a flow that gathers metadata, uploads a document with the metadata and sends an email.

I don't want to have to manually enter a specific URL in the "Create file" and "Update file properties" actions because this flow needs to work for 100+ subsites. I'd like to use a variable or something else? for the URL. When I try using the "Manually trigger a flow" dynamic content or a variable the "Update file properties" action doesn't populate the required metadata fields.

@trishmalloy please share a screenshot of your flow and explain, what is the type of column for your metadata ? any specific column which is not populating ?

Hi @trishmalloy ,

1. Create a list and store the url in a column there.

2. define variable in flow to get this urls

2. use get items actions in flow to fetch this list data(column)

3. Use Apply to each  to loop this items and  inside the loop  :

3.1 set variable urls to values fetched from list

3.2 use this variable to set dynamic urls in your "Create file" and "Update file properties"

This works i have used this. the values come runtime.
