Are you able to post the RSS feed so we can see if we can get at the author from it?
Just when I read the below:
"The RSS feed provides that but I can't see HOW to include that.
Honsestly I tried it with about 20 different feeds on MIcrosoft and get no author. But I have used those same RSS feeds on Zapier, IFTTT, Integromat and can parse out the author.
The issue I have is that Flow is a very visual product and to try and provide assistance with a lot of variables can be tricky. I have serveral working RSS related Flows, but not one that goes to twitter. So I may be able to help or at least shed some light.
You say "I tried it with about 20 different feeds on MIcrosoft and get no author".
Can you post 1 or 2 of thse feed urls in this thread please?
Also, you mention error "Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied."
Can you post a screen grab of the whole Flow and also the error and the feed you are using to get that error so I can recreate?
I don't get an error.
The RSS feed does post to Twitter but it puts the title and the link, but no author.
My above post was supposed to say MANY OTHER PLATFORMS DO post the author along with the title and the link, using the same rss feeds.
When I post on Microsoft, I don't get an error on this issue. It just posts the Title and the url.
When I attempted to post you here on the forum the rss feeds, then I got an error - and I posted that error.
Screenshot? There isn't any screenshot with an error to show you.
Where on Microsof could I get help with this? I read all the documentation, used various rss feeds created by different sites.
I currently am a free member but would be more than willing to join if this and one other issue regarding Twitter could be fixed. The root problem of both is the same - @author is not showing.
All I can assume you are referring to is that you are working with a Twitter RSS feed that was generated with an app something like TwitRSS.me.
I have used this to create an RSS feed from my Twitter account @ https://twitrss.me/twitter_user_to_rss/?user=alano365. I have devised this as you mention trying to access the Twitter handle to credit an author so this is my best guess.
It would appear there is no Twitter handle but there is the id:
This gives me the twitter handle as the output and this can be used in the tweet you generate to send to Twitter.

Any other questions, just ask.
I appreciate that you took the time to create that flow. I honestly wouldn't know how to create that on my end. Plus when you get the @username, I wouldn't know how to add it next to "primary feed". Is it possible that you could make a template for me somewhere where I could access it? Or is that out of the question.
Hi @seekandfind .
Thank you for the post and I appreciate your carefully worded and measured reply. It really means a lot.
It is possible, that something could be created and submitted to the template gallery on this one, but I wouldn't be able to get to it right away.
If you look closely at the connectors used in my graphic, there only 2 of them. "Lisat all RSS feed items" and "Compose". when you click on the elipses (...) on a Compose, you can rename them as I have. The expressions I have used in each Composes action are in each and every image. All of the tools required to create what I have above are there in this post.
In order to make this easier for you, here is the code in chronological order, so you can copy and paste it. I suggest you use a button trigger, just to get started then follow the image above.
concat('@' , outputs('Compose_Split_Twitter_ID')?)
Please also be aware, that in this community, it is helpful to both myself and others who will read this post in the future, that you only post your issue once and that those who help you, get thumbs up and when a solution has been presented, you mark it as the solution. We then welcome any posts from you that are clearly explained and have graphics along with them in order for us to assist and understand what is going on with your Flow.
In order to add it the Twitter Handle your tweet, you would then just use dynamic data. It will be there for you to select "Compose Twitter Handle".
Will you be able to at least give this a go and post back if any issues?
So so kind of you to try to explain. It seems overwhelming to me. But if you ever can make a template I WOULD LOVE IT.
While you are helpful, I would love LOVE!! a template that would let me post
RSS--> to my GAB.ai account.
I have no idea how to do that. They have instructions on their site that I just also don't understand.
