Re-assign an approval flow to only specific users

Hi all,

I made an approval flow for a sharepoint list, for this I used the following template: "Start approval when a new item is added".
The approval now works as expected and will be sent to the right people. My problem arises when the approver re-assigns the request. At this moment he/she can choose each account that is available in my organization, a typo is easily made. Therefore I would like that if you want to re-assign, only certain accounts are available, is that possible?

I don't think the system will let you re-assign it to a miss-spelled account.  It will check it against your organization.  But I don't know of any way you can restrict who it can be re-assigned to at this point.

Re: Re-assign an approval flow to only specific users

Hi @Kea

@Pstork1 is right - there is no way to decide who one can re-assing to

Also there is no way a user can enter incorrect email because it wont re-assign until a valid uer is selected

Only option if you need custom re-assignment is to create an App in which they can see their current associated tasks and then reassing - here you can define who they can re-assign to

Check this re-assignment app in app gallery (https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Community-Apps-Gallery/Approval-tasks-reassignment-app/td-p/3425...)

You would have to make modifications based on your requirement

However, plz note it will still not stop the user from re-assigning in the approval dashboard
