Receive XML through Web service

Hello, 

So I have to receive a XML payload and parse the data into CDS. 

The question is, how do I do this?

1. Should I use the trigger for HTTP call received and start with parsing it into json and then back to XML? And how do I do this,       because as it is right now I will get a "Body" that is one long String. 

2. Should I transform it back to XML with a XML schema and XML map and then parse it with xpath?

Or do you recommend another way?

You'd basically want to do the reverse of the Use FetchXML to query data (Common Data Service). CDS works well with XML, so stick with XML.
