Reminder mail to microsoft forms survey

Hi!

 

Any ideas on infrastructure to remind people who didnt take my microsoft form survey that they didnt. For now I have built a flow in which the responses are transferred into a sharepoint list. Additionally I have made another list in sharepoint on the participants in my survey. My idea is to somehow compare the response list with the survey participant list and delete all items in the particpant list that are the same as the response list (since that list triggers a scheduled reminder letter).

 

 

So far, I have 2 solutions that are quite close

Could you please share a bit more about your two SharePoint lists?

 

I think it is not necessary to add a SharePoint list to store the responses of Microsoft Form, we only need to create a SharePoint list (List_B) to store the participants of my Microsoft Form survey. The data structure of my List_B as below:9.JPG

Note: The Participant column is a Person or group type column, which is used to store participants of my Microsoft Form survery.

 

I have made a test on my side and the flow works well. Please take a try with the following workaround:

  • Add a "When a new response is submitted" trigger.
  • Add a "Apply to each", input parameter set to output of the trigger.
  • Within "Apply to each", add a "Get response details" action. Then add a "Get items" action, specify Site Address and List Name set to List_B. 

         Add a "Apply to each 2" action, input parameter set to output of "Get items" action, Within "Apply to each 2" action, add a Condition, left input box set to Participant Email dynamic content of "Get items" action, right input box set to Responders' Email dynamic content of "Get response details" action. In middle drop down, choose is equal to

     

       Within "If/yes" branch of "Apply to each 2" action, add a "Delete item" action.

 

  • Under "Apply to each" action, add a "Delay" action, Count set to 2, Unit set to Day. On my side, Unit set to Minute for testing.
  • Add a "Get items 2" action, specify Site Address and List Name set to List_B.
  • Add a "Apply to each 3" action, input parameter set to output of "Get items 2" action. Within "Apply to each 3" action, add a "Send an email" action, To field set to Participant Email dynamic content of "Get items 2" action.

So this flow would send a reminder to all the recipients who haven't filled the survey anytime someone fills a survey, correct?

That's right. I followed the steps in the above solution & can confirm it works successfully.

I was trying to follow your steps but for some reasons I am not able to select any dynamic content in the 1st apply for each (even if I use a "Get response details" before).

 

Do you have any idea why this is not working?

for your List_B, those under 'title" column are left blank is it? For participants column how do you came up with? Import from excel?

 

I'm in similar situation where I need to use flow to trigger email reminder to those who yet to respond to my Form.
