Saving attached files in Forum to SharePoint

I tried using the Attached Load file to save the file loaded in with Forum into Sharepoint, but the file is saved in a different format. They were Excel files, but they were in a different format in Sharepoint. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to save the loaded file with Forum in the same format into Sharepoint?
