Searching for an item in a list makes the flow option disappear

USE CASE:  EXPECT USER TO FIND A VENDOR IN A LIST OF 4,000+ ITEMS, THEN START A FLOW TO CREATE A PURCHASE ORDER.

IF YOU BROWSE TO A VENDOR ITEM IN THE LIST, AND SELECT IT, THE FLOW OPTION IS AVAILABLE IN THE MENU

HOWEVER, IF YOU FIND THE SAME ITEM VIA SEARCH AND SELECT THE ITEM, THE FLOW OPTION IS NOT AVAILABLE

*TO RECREATE THIS SCENARIO, SELECT THE LIST FIRST.  THEN USE SEARCH.

Hey,

The first screenshot is the list

The second screenshot is search results - displayed simiallary to a list

microsoft are adding more features slowly to the search results inside a list, but appears this is not one of them unfortuantely.

as for a fix - you could add a blank column and use column formatting to start your flow this should still work i.e.

https://github.com/SharePoint/sp-dev-list-formatting/tree/master/column-samples/generic-start-flow

Thank you for the reply, Gristy.  I did add a text column, with column formatting to attempt to start the Flow.  The flow does not start when you search for the item in the list.  When I click the button in the column, nothing happens.

The same button works as expected, if you browse to the item, or if you filter via column headers to the item.
