Send email with options

I have a flow that sends and email with options, but I want it to do something if the person doesn't answer after 24 hours. What can I do?

@lmoody:

The Flow below demonstrates a technique that you can use.  It involves a parallel action with a delay of 24 hours.  If there has been no response in 24 hours, then you can take action as appropriate.

Hi @lmoody,

@ScottShearer's answer will definitely work.

An alernative would be to configure the timeout of the action in the settings menu:

Then you can configure parallel actions with one to run on success and another to run on timeout.

@ScottShearer's answer works better if you want to continue to execute the steps following the email response even after you execute the timed operation.

Best,

Travis

Thanks for the input but I can't seem to get the should run after options to show like yours does. How did you get the parallel with the choices to show?

Hi @lmoody,

You can add a parallel branch by clicking the "+" above the action you want to add a parallel branch to and selecting "Add a parallel branch".

You can then configure the run after behavior, by clicking the ellipses on the action and selecting "Configure run after".

Best,

Travis
