Sending Mail "from" not working

Hi guys,

So basically I have a flow which will trigger on update of a record. I want to send a mail to different people but the important thing is, that it comes from the person changing the status. I got it to the point where in the flow, the e-mail-adress of the right person is in the "from" field, but it still gets sent by me as the flow owner.

So in flow its the right adress, but in outlook I get the mail from myself.

Can anyone help me?

Regards,

Thomas

Re: Sending Mail "from" not working

Hi @Fanki

The Outlook connector is connected to your account, so that's why all emails are being sent from your name. If you check your "sent items" in Outlook, you'll see the emails there. Allowing to send emails as other people would allow you to impersonate other users, and that would not be good.

You can use the Email action that sends the email from Flow, being a "neutral" entity that sends the notification.

Otherwise, you need to share the Flow with other users so that they can connect to their accounts and send emails from there.

I hope it makes sense.

Re: Sending Mail "from" not working

Hi @Fanki

You can send emails from a shared mailbox using the send email from shared mail box action of outlook . For this you need to create the admin shared mail box account and add the users to that and provide them required access.

The from in the send email action is if you have any alias email that can be used (as far as I know)

Lastly, you might also want to look into the send email notification. This one sends emails from an MS account.

Hope this Helps!

Re: Sending Mail "from" not working

Hi,

thank you for your answer! Is there any way where I can connect like an admin account which is allowed to send as other users? What is the "from" field for if not impersonating others, not in a bad way?
