Sending email with a consolidated list from sharepoint

Hi,

I have a sharepoint list with a list of relationship managers and their respective clients.

I'd like to send a monthly email asking each of our RMs to contact their clients, where it would be an email per RM with a table listing the name of their clients that should be contacted.

By now I could only create a workflow in which one email per client is sent to each RM. How could I consolidate these emails, making it one email per RM with a list with all of their clients names?

Thanks in advance,

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please find the solution below.

I have provided the screenshot of the final output of this flow below.

I have created "RM_Mapping_Clients" list, client mapping with each RMs. Here Relationship Manager  column is people picker field.

Power Automate Steps:

1- Get all the items from RM_Mapping_Clients lists

2- Get all relationship manager email Ids from above action.

From : value output from Get Item action

Map:  item()?['RelationshipManager']['Email']----->based on the below Json

3- Idea is to get the distinct value of all the relationship manager email id.

output of above action:

4- Iterate over all the email Ids

5- Actions inside Apply to each:

6 - Filter the Json(value output from Get Item action) using email Id

From : outputs('Get_items')?['body/value']

left : item()['RelationshipManager']['Email']

right : items('Apply_to_each_-_Iterate_over_all_the_RM_Email_Ids')

7 -  Modify Json with clients value for creating table

8 - Create HTML table using above output value

9 - Add css to above html table for proper look.

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for your response! Could you please make more clear the third step, specifically the complete function of 'intersection'?

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous ,

Idea behind that is to get the unique email ids of the RM using which I can get the all the clients mapped to that RM.

Intersection function helps to get the comman elements between two arrays and I am passing the same array which helps to remove the duplicate emails ids of RMs

Hope this clears your doubt.

If this solves your problem then don't forget to mark this as answer, this will help others as well

Hi Vivek,

Could you please share with us the function you used just like the one in step 9 (e.g replace(body('Create_HTML_table'),'<table>','<table border="3">'))?

I've tried to implement this step but I get this error:

Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Compose_-_Get_Distinct_Email_By_Removing_Duplicate_Email_Ids' inputs at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language function 'intersection' expects either a comma separated list of arrays or a comma separated list of objects as its parameters. The function was invoked with '1' parameter(s). Please see https://aka.ms/logicexpressions#intersection for usage details.'.

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous ,

You are using wrong compose output for creating html table.

Make sure you use the output of select action as shown above.
