SharePoint Get Items Filtered by Date (Recurrence)

I have 2 SharePoint Lists [Absence Request] and [In/Out Board]

I need a recurrence flow to GET ITEMS from the [Absence Request] filter it, and if the staff is OUT TODAY, update the [In/Out Board]

I can create a flow to update the In/Out Board when a new item is created in the [Absence Request] but if the requested dates are in the future, it will not work. I need a recurrence to check the items in the [Absence Request] if one of the approved dates is today, i want the in/out board updated.

Any other option or ideas how to accomplish this task?

Thank you,

Re: SharePoint Get Items Filtered by Date (Recurrence)

I was able to filter records for today by using the following condition:

@equals(substring(item()?['InsertYourColumnName'], 0, 10),utcnow('yyyy-MM-dd'))

Please note that the column name is inside of single quotes.

Also, remember that you'll need to replace spaces in your column names with _x0020_

Re: SharePoint Get Items Filtered by Date (Recurrence)

Hi @shearersj

Thanks. I tried but failed to understand where to put the condition.  I tried creating a COMPOSE action after the RECURRENCE using "@substring(item()?['EventDate'], 0, 10)" to get the Start Date  -- did the same with End Date.

Then I plugged both outputs in the Filter Query.

Got an error message due to the Start Date being null.  Which I'm sure it was because I'm missing something between my RECURRENCE action and COMPOSE.
