Show description in your task in Planner

Hi everyone,

 

Can anyone tell me please if there is a way to show the description of a task by a flow of MS Flow in planner? There is a way to tell to a flow do flag that checkbox? 

I put some image to let understand what i need to do:

Currently, we can add or update the description of the task through Flow, but we cannot set "Show on card" to display the description on the task card.

I am afraid that there is no suitable way to achieve such a requirement currently.

If you want this feature to be supported by MS Flow, please consider voting for a similar idea, so it might be considered for future releases.

Yes you can populate the description in a Planner task. In this example we are using a Forms response as the trigger. You'll see the steps I have used in the images below. The important things are that after you create the task in Planner you need to set a delay (I used 1 minute) before the Update task details which populates the description is run. That is because if you don't have a delay there will be an error as you will be trying to add and updsate a task at exactly the same time.

I'm not sure about the checkbox but I don't think you can set that. There isn't anything in the dynamic content that seems to be for that.
