Specify columns to include when fetching a SharePoint item

I have a get SP item action against a list which has many taxonomy and lookup fields. The query fails with the infamous "The query cannot be completed because the number of lookup columns it contains exceeds the lookup column threshold enforced by the administrator."

Would it be possible to have an option to specify which fields to return, or have a version of the get items action which take odata filters, but I don't want a collection back....or if the items could return just one item if you specify to only get one item back.

Or what is the preferred approach?

Re: Specify columns to include when fetching a SharePoint item

Hi @MikaelSvenson,

That error is a limitation of SQL.

Can you please get a screenshot of your flow?

Re: Specify columns to include when fetching a SharePoint item

Hi,

I know it's a limitation 🙂 Hence specifying only the needed fields using for example odata filter would work. Doing screen shots on my mobile device is too cumbersome, but basically a get item task based on an ID against said list.

Re: Specify columns to include when fetching a SharePoint item

Hi @MikaelSvenson,

I just tried the ODATA filter for SharePoint Get list item and it ignored my filter condition. Not sure this is implemented yet. There are other posts in this forum described about ODATA filter is not yet implemented.

Thanks
