Technical documentation for programmers

I see a lot of documentation by example but it's difficult to find technical documentation. Is there geek-to-geek documentation?

Most useful would be documentation of the text representation that I get when I copy a flow to the clipboard and paste it into a text editor. I'm very pleased that the process is reversible. Where is the documentation on the textual representation and, if possible, how to run it from a (PowerShell?) script?

Learning by pictures is nice but it leaves all sorts of questions unanswered such as how table extraction decides scope.
