Terminate Reminder Email Flow

I have 2 flows

One runs the approval email

Second flow runs the reminder email

When the approval request is approved can I terminate the second flow without sending the reminder email. Like is there a way to check that the approval has been approved before sending the reminder email.

The reminder email should be sent the everyday after the request has been sent unless approved. Capture2.PNGReminder Email FlowCapture3.PNG1st flow that sends the request

Re: Terminate Reminder Email Flow

Hi
I see two options:
1.- implement all the logic in a single flow with parallel branches
2.-keep the two flows approach, and use an external database (for example a Sharepoint list, or CDS) to store Approval status and update it whenever Approvers reply. This way from your second flow you can check first which Approvals are still pending before sending the reminder. From your first screenshot, I understand you implement a 1 day delay after an approval status item is created in a sharepoint list, right? If so, once delay is over, and just before send an email, you could add a 'get item' and evaluate approval status, if not completed send the reminder email
Hope this helps

Re: Terminate Reminder Email Flow

Hi
I was guessing the sharepoint item you create (the one that triggers the second flow) stores the Approval status. Is my assumption incorrect? Which is its purpose, then?
Hope this helps

@efialttes Yes it's a sharepoint list. So it'll look like this? And it should automatically terminate the reminder flow once the request has been approved?Captur4e.PNG

Re: Terminate Reminder Email Flow

Almost
What so you store in the sharepoint list?
Why is a new item used as trigger? I assume Approval related info is stored there, right?
Is the item updated when approvers select any of the email approval options?
Hope this helps
