The Expression s6h2 eq <first value of excel-sheet> is not a valid expression

Hi Power Automate community

I am trying to set it up, so that once a day a power automate flow checks the table in an excel spreadsheet, and then updates / adds items to a SharePoint list.

I follow this tutorial

Add & Update Excel Data to SharePoint List using Power Automate - YouTube

This is the setup. I link the Excel and get the items. This works. Then I try to get the list items from the SharePoint-list, but it returns the error

The Expression s6h2 (system name of my "Name" column in the SharePoint list) eq "name of first item in excel sheet in Name column" is not a valid expression.

Any ideas how to fix this? Replacing the system name of the column in the SharePoint list with the display name didn't help at all.

Hi Eric

In the spreadsheet there are "-" and "()" in different places. There is also " ' " as you specified actually! Would this break the syntax? and how do I fix it?

Hi @KazzerPBI ,

I ran a few tests and it didnt seem to.

Can you add a Compose action before the Get Items and show me the output/value of name?

Hi Eric

I edited my reply, because I realized later on it actually did have apostrophes in the names in some places. How do I get around this? The list will have around 250 values at some point, possibly including special characters
