The request to the on-premises data gateway has timed out


Getting below error while flow is running more than 10 mins. Any solution to this ?

Hi @shantsharma,


Could you please share a screenshot of the configuration of your flow?


Please check if your network status isn't normal when the flow run failed with timed out error.


Please make a test again and make sure if your network status is normal to see if the issue still exists.

It is not working on heavy files , i.e 15-20 MB files  to move from sharepoint to shared folder (file system)

I had stumbled upon the same and I found - 



  • Logic Apps, Power Apps, and Power Automate support both read and write operations through the gateway:
    • Write operations have a 2-MB payload limit.
    • Read operations have a 2-MB request limit and an 8-MB compressed data response limit.
    • URL for the GET request has a 2048 character limit.
  • While using the gateway with Power BI in Direct Query Mode, there is a 16-MB uncompressed data response limit.
