The response is not in a JSON format.

Hi,

I am new to MPA. I created a new flow using the template, "Start an approval when a response is submitted in Forms". The response according to the Sharepoint snip below is in a JSON format, so what am I doing wrong?

I created it using the Team Forms App in Microsoft Teams. Is that OK?

Hi Sunshine,

I have created a Form in Microsoft Forms (MF) outside of Microsoft Teams (MT). I then moved into a MT channel. I then created a workflow using the template, "Start an approval when a response is submitted in Forms" and was able to select the MF Form. I submitted a Form response and I received a MT chat, activity and an Outlook email asking to Reject or Approve. But there is no reference to the Response at all; so I don't know what I am Rectingg or Approving :). What have I done wrong or need to change?

Hi @DonL ,

Please post a screenshot of your complete flow process and describe your problem more accurately.

Best Regards,

Sunshine Gu

  • I have created a Procurement Request Form in Microsoft Forms (MF).
  • This request needs to be either Approved or Rejected.
  • Form users populate the form and submit it.
  • I can then see their response in MF.
  • I need a workflow that prompts me that a new Procurement Request has been submitted, and gives me an opportunity to Approve it or Reject it.
  • This is what I was trying to achieve.

Please advise what else you need. Not sure how to post a screenshot of your complete flow process?

Update please Sunshine.

Hi @DonL ,

Sorry for keeping you waiting. When I took a screenshot of the complete flow, expand each control and let me see the parameters in each of your controls, so that I can understand your problem more clearly.

Hi @DonL ,

I didn’t use flow templates because templates complicate your flow.

I did a test for your reference.

Hi Sunshine,

I feel we are making progress (I'm learning as we go 🙂 ). Attached is one of our Form Responses. It is one document but I have had to attach as two files. Ideally when the Request for Approval comes through, if this response could be attached as a file that I could open, that would be perfect. I need to understand all of the input on the form (every item of data input), to make a decision whether to approve the request or not.

How can we achieve this?

Don
