can anyone help me with manipulating Todoist due dates?
Scenario is, that I am creating a task in Todoist with a specific due date (TASK A). This triggers the creation of new project (PROJECT A) and subsequently the creation of new tasks under this project (TASKS A.1, TASK A.2 etc.).
I need those tasks in PROJECT A to have several different due dates that depend on other due dates:
The list goes on with a several other tasks for which I need different due dates.
The date format seems to be Thu Nov 10 2016 12:36:31 +0000
Is there any way to do this with Flow?
What does the +0000 indicate?
It seems that your scenario is not able to realize. I create a flow according to your description, but in the action create tasks under the customer project, I get an error message with “Invalid temporary id”. Below is a screenshot of my flow configuration:
This flow failed from the action crate a task under the customer project.
About +0000, it should be a UTC Date and Time format, for more details please see this article for a reference:
Hi Mabel Mao,
You Flow failed because you selected the project name as the project ID.
If you click on' see more' on the right, you will be able to select the project ID and then the flow will work.
You will have to refer to the project ID in every new task that you create.
The flow itself is not my problem, it's running fine. It's just the due date that it'd like to manipulate.
Thanks for clarifying the +0000!
Thanks for your reply. I recreate the flow according to your ideas. And the flow works, a new task can be created under the custom project. But when I try to use adddays function in the Task Due Date field, it seems that it doesn’t work. I will try again with the Due Date issue, and I will update you once I get a result.
About the “See More” button, I agree with you, and you could submit it on Flow Ideas Forum as an idea, I would also collect this idea from my side:
Hi Mabel Mao,
thank you for looking into this, it's much appreciated!
ps: here's the the idea that I posted. It's hard to explain the problem if you're not familiar with it, but I think it can easily be reproduced by creating the flow as described above.
