Transferring url?

Hello everyone!

I have a flow which is triggered when a user create a new item in a sharepoint list and then there are series of approval emails.

So now the issue is that i need to retrieve the url of a excel file stored on sharepoint document?

The whole scenerio:

*) Customer service department creates a new return order, with the return number, customer name etc etc.

*)In the meantime, they create an excel file which is directly uploaded onto sharepoint.

Now is there way to retreat the url of that file from the flow and update it in the list?

Hi @nilesp,

Yes, if you want to retreat the URL of the file, you can get it by adding the "Get file properties" action of connector SharePoint and then using the Dynamic content returned by that action in subsequent actions.Annotation 2019-05-24 113235.png

It seems that you are going to send this file to someone else to change. Here you need to pay attention to the permission Settings and restrictions of opening the file. You can refer to this link: sharing-files-and-folders

You can have a try. If there is any problem, you can post a screenshot of your flow configuration, and we will help you solve it.

Well not exactly. But figered it out. Basically i used the get file (properties only) and filtered the array. and got the link and entered in the update item.
