Unable to call desktop flow from cloud flow

Hello

We have a power automate desktop developed. This is being called from cloud flow. It worked perfectly with unattended configuration.

Now, we wanted this desktop flow to be automatically triggered on email trigger. So we too automate cloud flow and added run desktop flow with same gateway connections.

However , we have started seeing below error and hence cannot add desktop flow action.

There was a problem retrieving your desktop flows. You need a database to create desktop flows. Create a Microsoft Dataverse database in your current environment.

We do have environment with database.

Any idea why this complains about dataverse db not being available?

Any thoughts please?

Hi there,

Have you tried any of the options in this thread?

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Desktop/Screenshot-Save-to-File-fails-when-run-on...

Seems like different things worked for different people (not super helpful, of course) - but for someone at the end it was a requirement to reinstall PAD & the Gateway, and ensure that mapped network drives are being used.

I'm also going to tag @VJR in case they've seen something similar...

Cheers,

Rhia

Thank you Rhia. Unfortunately, my issue is, I cannot even add Power automate desktop call to the cloud flow so no question of failing. Once i add the connection i cannot save flow and get the error shown in screenshot above.

Thank you for trying though. This is really weired issue. I did try to create new cloud flow and cannot add this action there either.

HI @Rohit4044041

Are you seeing the list of all your Desktop flows on the "Desktop flows" section of the cloud portal?

@VJR Yes, I do. and Yes , both cloud and desktop flow are in same environment.

Does it matter, what service account is used in gateway configuration?. (I have left that default i.e. pbiiegwservice account)

Machine on which gateway is configured is windows365 machine.
