Updating Project Online Task Details

I am trying to update some data items in a Project Online task. I have successfully updated Task Name and Percent Complete. I want to update the Notes column but that isn't working.  Not getting an error, just doesn't update.  Here is the json package I am sending:

{
  'Name':'@{triggerBody()['PWA_TaskName']}',
  'PercentComplete':'@{triggerBody()['PWA_PercentComplete']}',
  'Notes':'@{triggerBody()['PWA_Notes']}'
}

Is it as simple as using the wrong name, 'Notes'? Any help would be appreciated. Is there documentation of the fields for updating tasks?

Thank you.

Regards,

-S

Hi @sperry1625,

I have just tried this and I can reproduce this. However, I can also reproduce this behaviour in the interface.

It appears that the Task Notes field is read-only when try to update it from for instance the Tasks Summary view. It looks like you can only provide a value when creating/adding the task.

I have found some old documentation from Project Server which shows that it was read-only back then:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/office/ms459818(v=office.14)?redirectedfrom=MSDN#...

Happy to help out! 🙂

Hi @sperry1625,

Which PowerAutomate operation are you using to update the tasks as I cannot find one in the current version?

Thanks
