Hey all,
I was wondering if I can use a Word template in my Flow.
Now everytime an item is created I create a new blank Word document with it.
But what I want is that when a new item is created a new template Word document is created with it.
Anyone has an idea on this?
All ideas are welcome, as I am looking to find an answer to.
Edit: Silly me, this is possible if you make a template Word put in your Shared Documents for example, use the action get file content and then put the file content of the latter action into the create file (file content) action.
Kind regards
Tom

Hi @Tom_Slosse,
Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?
Do you want to create a template Word document using "Create file" action of SharePoint connector within your flow?
I suppose that you want to create a template Word document in your SharePoint library using "Create file" action of SharePoint connector within your flow, is it true?
I have made a test on my side, creating a template Word document in SharePoint library directly using "Create file" action of SharePoint connector is not supported in Microsoft Flow currently, if you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:

I think the solution that you mentioned is a available solution currently, I have made a test on my side and my flow's configuration as below:
The flow works successfully as below:
The new created document opens well as below:
Best regards,
Kris
Hey @v-xida-msft,
Thanks for the answer but I wasn't thinking straight when I posted this thread 😛
I create a file using the SharePoint Create file action indeed.
Like I mentioned in my latter Edited post.
I created a Word template and before I create the file, I get the file and then indeed like in your Flow.
Kind regards
Tom
