When an Approval flow is Canceled - Update the Approval Status in SharePoint List

Hello Everyone!

I have created an approval flow that automatically updates the SharePoint list based on the approval results.

So far, this flow works great. But, if I cancel the flow, the Approval Status in the SharePoint list will remain as Pending. I am not sure how to update the content approval status to cancel when I cancel the flow.

Any ideas on this would be much appreciated.

Currently, there is way we can cancel approval task which already sent to the user. 

There is request for this feature. Please vote for it at  Power Automate Idea

Workaround:

Set the Timeout duration of the approval action as PT1D under Settings of the first approval action. Then configure Run after as “has timed out” for another approval action to send the request to another person.
