Which Power Apps would be best suited?

I have a work project that I am looking to streamline but am new to the power apps. It consists of three functions

1st - User input information

2nd - Database of information

3rd - Output generated results

The purpose is for the output generated results to self populate based on the user input information and the database information. For a over simplified example, User inputs that there will be 3 PBJ sandwiches, the data base will store what ingredients and quantities are required for a typical PBJ sandwich, the output results would be the quantities required of all ingredients.

What I am hoping to find out is what is the best way to have the user input the information (Forms, Lists, Excel)?

What file type will be easiest to store my database of information for ease of manipulation (lists, dataverse, excel)?

How can I automate this to generate my documentation based on the inputs and database information (Power Apps, Power Automate, or stick to excel)?

I know I can make all this in excel, but I am hoping this may be a good starting point to try the Office 365 apps.

@CGeorgeoff This can be done using PowerApps/Power Automate.

If your form has very basic fields and autonomous users you can stick to forms, and if your form has do some complex calculations then you can go for PowerApps forms/custom development as it supports it.

For storing you can use SharePoint as its free and I like it more than excel, if you need to pay for dataverse and you need to do some research when to use it.

To generate documents, you can use Power Automate.

Btw this is Power Automate forum, you can try Power Apps forum for more specific help related to Power Apps. 😀
