how to input information from the email into excel

HI

I have created a flow when an email arrive with subject 'Escalated', then input data in the table in an excel file saved in Sharepoint.  Then save the email in Sharepoint.  The data that i want to input in the excel file is email subject, Sender and date of the email

The flow run successfully, the email is saved in the Sharepoint, however, no data is input in the excel.

Below is the screenshot of the flow.  Can anyone please advice what is wrong in my flow?

There seems no problem with the flow. I tried the same scenario and it works for me without any issues. 

Can you try to shorten your file name or try with a sample Book.xlsx and run the flow?

I have shorten the filename, but still doesn't work.  I can see that the file is being modified, however, no data is input in the file.

Can you please check the below items and respond with your analysis?

1. Are you sure you are adding data to the correct table?
2. When the flow runs, in the run history do you see values for Subject, From and Date in the Excel action?
3. It may happen that the Date column might be causing you issues, did you try just adding Subject and From values and check if the row is created in the File?

I have created the table in the excel file. 

The status of the flow indicated successful, however, no data is input in the table in the excel file after the run is complete.

You can refer to the screenshot that have posted in my original post.  I have put  Subject, From and Date into the column in the table.

I removed the date column, and just try adding Subject and From values , it works.  Thanks !

The Error message is:

"Flow Run Failure: One or more fields provided is of type 'Null'."

" Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Add_a_row_into_a_table' inputs at line '1' and column '34339': 'The template language function 'formatDateTime' expects its first parameter to be of type string. The provided value is of type 'Null'. Please see https://aka.ms/logicexpressions#formatdatetime for usage details.'."

On top of that i have another issue.  My flow doesn't have issue saving the email in SharePoint.  However, it doesn't overwrite the existing file in SharePoint if the email subject name is the same. I have tried to use Condition. Below is my working for the condition of saving the email to the Sharepoint, the logic is: Save the file in SharePoint, if the email subject name is the same as filename in Sharepoint, then update the file, but the update file command doesn't point to the exact folder to update the file.  Can you please advice ?

Please find my comments below

1. For the date issue, formatDateTime will give you an error if you try to format a null value, combine it with if condition to format only if your date is not null or pass a blank value , so your expression should like this if(equals(date, null), "", formatDateTime(date,"your format here"))
2. For your update file issue, seems like your identifier is not correct, please take a look at this post and see if you find it helpful

Thanks for your reply.  Do you mean put the expression in the redbox below ? 

For the update file issue.  What is the correct command should i use to save the email to Sharepoint, then if the email already saved in Sharepoint, overwrite the email in Sharepoint ?

Yes you need to add the expression the way you have added although please replace "date" with your date field (Dynamic Content).
