Hi,
I am trying to insert a line break (next line) markdown in the approval connector but it is not working. (have shown the space markdown with a +)
When i view the approval in Teams desktop, it shows all the content in a single line, the line break markdown doesn't work. The header mark down also doesnt work
Hi @Hskal_05
Spaces don't work, although they are part of the markdown specification.
The way I got it to work on my projects was something like this:
The lines as are follows:
Test.
Another test.
Can you please check if and let me know if you have any questions?

Thanks Manuel. Could you be a bit more specific as to what i need to do.
Do i have to use an if function? if yes, then what should be the parameters.
HI @Hskal_05
No function needed. Just add 2 line breaks instead of one.

Thanks Manuel. This also did not work when i view the approval in teams. In fact, no of the markdowns are working when viewing the approval in teams desktop.
I am having the same problem. I will add two spaces where I want the line break to take place but it doesn't happen when I get the approval request in Microsoft Teams.
@manuelstgomes , when you say to add two line breaks instead of one, does that mean I should add four spaces instead of two where I want the line break to happen?
Hi @MCarrier
I usually don't add 4. The behavior can change from email to client and even between the online and desktop versions.
I would advise the following.
Create a test Flow that only contains test text and send an email. Test with that and only after integrating those changes in your other Flow.
This is tricky, and one space can make the difference.

So here is a photo of my flow.
I've tried one and two spaces after event name, date, and time, but the content still only displays on one line in the approval request in Teams:
One Sapce
Two Spaces
However, I get line breaks in the email request no matter if I use one or two spaces.
All I'm trying to do is get line breaks in the Teams approval view.
This is precisely my issue as well. In fact, an interesting thing to note is that none of the markdowns (like bold italics header points etc) worked when viewing the approval in Teams Desktop.
And as per the Microsoft documentation on the below link some of the markdowns work for teams desktop client
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/approvals-markdown-support
Exact same issue here.
In Outlook everything is fine, but in Teams no line breaks.
According to the documentation, line breaks should work in Teams.
This seems like a bug. Markdown for the new Approval flow is broken on my Teams Desktop App and my iOS mobile app. Works ok on Outlook online, and partially on my Outlook Desktop App.
Why wouldn't they stick to simplified HTML instead? Anyway... Please fix it.
HI @Spirytus , @Hskal_05 , @ECE and @MCarrier
Indeed with all the information provided, it looks like strange behavior. I think it's well worth submitting to Microsoft; take a look and try to fix it:
