Hi @ldurland

The best way to achieve this is to either share the Power Automate with that user or export the ZIP file and send it.

Can you try these alternatives and get back to me?

thanks and yes those methods do work that you suggested.  however i was able to create my flow from a saved copy that worked previously and send a copy with no issues. so potentially something wrong with the flow that i tried to send a copy of??

what it boils down to is im trying to determine the best method of sharing flows to end users that have little to no experience about how to go about editing or creating flows. we are just getting into power automate and want a easy way to share them. i noticed that when i do a zip there are alot more steps in getting it to an end user. sharing seems to provide ownership to the end user. i want them to be able to modify and build off the flow that i sent a copy of.

thanks

Hi @ldurland

In that case I would share the Power Automate with them, creating therefore a Team flow. This way you can edit and they can get the changes automatically. If you send a copy or a ZIP file they get a snapshot and need to re-import it every time you do some changes or improve it.

thanks for the feedback. appreciated. im not sure sharing would be the best method as i dont really want to manage and or create flows for every type of scenario but provide the building blocks of the flow to get them started would be ideal. copying provides that scenario it appears.

Hi @ldurland

Can you share more details on the error? A screenshot maybe?

I have created template flows earlier and allowed creating flows in the context of the user by a powerapps button and here is how it worked: https://www.bythedevs.com/post/track-assets--resources-using-power-apps-and-power-automate

Hope this Helps!

HI @ldurland

I understand. Then your only way is to send a copy to everyone. I've written the best practices on how to do this here.

Please take a look and see if it helps you.
