I am receiving a daily email from a third party.  This email has an attachment, which is another email that has an Excel file attached (Email - with attached email - with attached Excel file).  The ultimate goal is to save the Excel file in Sharepoint.

I couldn't even get the attached email to save to Sharepoint.  I was wondering if the file extension was unrecognizable.

Hi @TMac22 ,

Do you mean to send the Outlook item as an attachment, and then save the email attached in the email?

Unfortunately, Flow currently cannot recognize the outlook item, so this email cannot be processed as an attachment, it cannot be saved.

If you want a similar feature to be supported by MS Flow, please consider posting this idea in the Flow Ideas forum, so it might be considered for future releases.

@v-bacao-msft @Gristy I don't need to save the email or the attachment itself (which happens to be an email.  I am interested in the Excel file, which is attached to the attached Email.  I just need to "Unpack" the attached email to get to the Excel file.

The sample of the flow I posted was an attempt to take this problem a step at a time.  First, save off the attachment to Sharepoint (which is an email).  Then I thought I would be able to open the email on Sharepoint and get the attached Excel file.  I couldn't get the first part to work AND I didn't know if I would be able to read the saved email to get the Excel file.
