Bot Framework Skills support will be generally available in late January 2020

We’re happy to announce that Bot Framework Skills support in Power Virtual Agents will GA on Jan 20, 2020. If you are using or planning to use Skills with your Power Virtual Agents bot, please continue reading as you will be impacted.

• In December 2019, Bot Framework SDK version 4.7 introduced native support for Skills. Read more about the changes introduced with SDK version 4.7 launch.
• As part of this upgrade, customers using or developing Skills are advised to develop or upgrade their Skills to the latest Bot Framework SDK version 4.7. Read more about guidance to upgrading your existing Skills.
• If you’re looking to build new Skills and use it with your Power Virtual Agents bot, read more about when and how to use Skills and follow guidance on creating a new Skill compatible to work with Power Virtual Agents. Here’s a sample of a new Skill built using Bot Framework SDK version 4.7.

Our awesome engineering delivered this early! We've deployed support for the latest version of Skills everywhere. You can now register Skills built using Bot Framework SDK version 4.7. There's no limit to building bots using Power Virtual Agents!
