Today, you can show images inside the PVA using the Power Automate + Markdown.
But the image needs to be public because PVA tries to show it to the user. (SP and Onedrive it's not a public host)
You can try to remove the permissions to the image and share externally, and return the shared link to PVA but I think that will not work for you.

I have already tried the solution proposed in the shared video and it works only with Blob storage as already mentioned.
However this means that at today we haven't any other solution so far with PVA.
I guess it is an important feature (return image/video in reply).
Please keep me posted in case of evolution.
