I created a variable at the beginning of a flow containing 2 mailadresses like:
peter.peters@gmail.com;peter.petersen@gmail.com
I used this variable to put it into the "assigned to" field of various approvals with the approval setting "anyone from the assigned list" This worked for some weeks, but now only the first mailadress is contacted for approval, peter.peters@gmail.com in this example, not both, as I hoped. Is a variable not supported in this case?
Hi @Anonymous,
Could you share the details of your Flow configuration?
I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned.
I initialize a variable of type String and fill in two email addresses. The approval type is "Anyone from the assigned list".
When the Approval action is executed, both email addresses receive the approval email,.
And the Approval request can also be seen in the respective Approval center. You could wait a few seconds and then refresh the page.
It is worth noting that if the approval type is "Anyone from the assigned list" and an Approver in the assigned list is approved, then several other Approvers will no longer see the approval reminder in the Approval center.
As long as one person completes Approval means that the approval process is over.
Please try again.
Best Regards,
Barry
Hi Barry,
thank you for your help! Can you see both mail addresses in the approval center, when you click on the open approval? I used the same configuration and that's where I saw only one address/approver.
Hi @Anonymous,
Do you want to see these two requests in the Approval center of the Flow portal of an account?
You need to log in to the corresponding account in the Flow portal to see the request. Have you tried refreshing the webpage? Like:
Or you can directly check whether both email addresses can receive emails.
Regards,
Barry
I checked at the "sent" section of the user sending the approval. When I used the variable, I was able to see there, that the approval was only sent to the first mail-address. When I opened the approval, one person was shown under "sent to".
I entered the 2 mail addresses directly into the approval now and now two persons are shown under "sent to" for the approval. I am gonna stop using the variable for this, as long it is not working correctly. Thanks for your help!
Hi @Anonymous,
Could you share a detailed screenshot of your Approval action configuration?
I did not encounter the problem you said when I did a lot of testing.
Will it be what details are ignored by you.
In addition, this is the user who displays the sent mail in Sent, which is consistent with the two email addresses contained in the variable.
Please take a try again.
Best Regards,
Barry
