Azure AD Create User error

Hey, not sure if it's a bug or if I'm overlooking something, but putting it here as I can't seem to find any more documentation on the Azure AD create user action.

I'm getting a 'Invalid value specified for property 'mailNickname' of resource 'User'' error when creating a new AD user. I've tried hardcoding a string (name@domain.com) or using a variable that I get from some random list. Anyway, i've checked it against the results I get from running a 'get user details' action, and the information i'm providing is exactly the same but still getting the invalid value error.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Cheers
Marc

Hi @MPadros,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow’s configuration?

The error message told that the value of ‘mailNickname’ property which you provided is invalid. I think there is something wrong with the value that you provided in ‘mailNickname’ property, the email address is not a valid value in 'mailNickname' property.

I have made a test on my side and the flow works well. Please take a try with the following workaround:14.JPG

The flow works successfully as below:15.JPG

More details about “Create user” action of Azure AD connector, please check the following document:

Hi @v-xida-msft,

I see that I was interpreting the mailnickname wrongly. I was providing a full email address as that was what I saw when using the 'get user' action. It seems to work nicely now!

Thanks for your reply!

Cheers

Marc
