Bug with approval timeout

I think I found a bug with a timed-out approval. 

  • Approval request goes to manager
  • Manager assigns the approval to another manager
  • Original approval to the first manager times out
  • I get a message telling me the flow failed. I check the flow and sure enough, it's failed.
  • The second manager who was assigned the approval from the first manager opens their email and "approves" the request
  • The flow then completes running with all subsequent steps. 
  • Flow still shows as "Flow Failed" in the list of completed/failed flows. 

I'm not 100% sure about this because it's only happened once. But I'm pretty sure. LOL

Thanks for your feedback, I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned.

 

When the second manager who was assigned the approval from the first manager approves the Approval request within his mailbox (the original approval request has timed out), the issue would show up as below:19.JPG

Note: In other words, the second manager could not complete this approval request assigned from the first manager if the original approval request has timed out.

 

Please try your flow again to check if the issue still exists, if it is, please let me know here, I would post this issue to my product team.
