Excel object display name value incorrect after file move and rename

Issue:

The display name value for Excel files within the Excel object are incorrect after the file has been moved and/or renamed.

Steps:

  1. Created a Flow with a trigger from Cognito Forms.
  2. Added multiple calls to the Excel Business object for actions Get Worksheet, List rows present in table, and Update a row.
  3. Pointed the Excel actions to the original directory and filename (display name) to setup.
  4. Needed to move and rename the Excel file after it was configured.
  5. Moved the file to a new directory.
  6. Renamed the file.
  7. Checked the flow to validate that the value for "File" is updated. Not updated.
  8. Ran the flow hoping it would update the Excel action's "File" value.
  9. Verified writes were successful to the updated file. There was still a connection.
  10. Checked the flow to validate that the "File" value is updated. Still not updated correctly.

Re: Excel object display name value incorrect after file move and rename

Hi,

Your logic here seems fine. I dont see any problems with how this is written here. My only guess was there was some issue with how the Flow itself was built out. This might be a better question to bring to the Microsoft Support team. I will include a link on how to create a case with them if you would like to go down that route.

If you would like to create a ticket with Microsoft Customer Support here is a link on how to do so: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/get-help-support

Regards,

Alex
