Flow holds on to "Ask Powerapps" variables even when not used.

I have this consistent problem - when building a Flow triggered by Powerapps button. If I click "Ask Powerapps" and add a "variable" to be passed from the powerapps app - but then decide not to use it. (The variable is not used anywhere in the Flow). However, the Flow keeps the variable and makes me pass it from the app. Even though I don't need it.

This is not one Flow but all Flows.

Eventually I end up having to rebuild the Flow from scratch - which is extremely irritating and redundant.

Hi @barlowse,

Could you share the specific Flow configuration?

Could you provide more details about variable?

If it is a Variable initialized in Flow, you could delete it directly if it is not referenced in other actions.

Please provide more details and we would provide proper workaround for you.

It's not an Initialized variable - it's the "variable" automatically created when you choose "Ask Powerapps".

Did this issue get resolved?

I have same issue  - very frustrating to have to rebuild the flow

It's like any variable you create 'sticks' in the configuration

Not that I know of.
