I have a Flow to save files attached to list items to a SharePoint document library. It goes something like this:
"When an item is created or modified" -> "Get attachments" -> "Apply to each" -> "Get file content" -> "Create file"
When a file larger than 100 mb is uploaded, the "Get file content" step fails with the error message:
Http request failed as there is an error: 'Cannot write more bytes to the buffer than the configured maximum buffer size: 104857600.'.
Apparently there is a hard limit of 100 mb in play here and it cannot be changed or increased. This is pretty limiting, as 100 mb is not that large, and the List is a great way to collect files from users together with other information about the files, with some automation to get them into the SharePoint file system in a structured way.
Unfortunatelly this is a known issue.
We already have this idea posted on our Community Forum: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Ideas/Increase-the-maximum-buffer-size-from-100/i....
Should be great if you can vote on it, in order to get visibility on this request.
Our product team is always checking the most voted ideas, and check if it is possible to delivery that feature.
Same problem using Create File to download a file from S3 using a signed url and save it to SharePoint. Getting
"message": "The request is larger than 94371840 bytes."
Unfortunately not yet.
Check that idea Increase the maximum buffer size from 100 - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com) is not approved yet.
Should be great to share that idea with your colleagues and ask them to vote it in order to increase visibility.
Even so, is no 100% guarantee that all ideas will be implemented, since there are some limitations that cannot be overcome.
Also, this limitation is currently documented here: Limits and configuration - Power Automate | Microsoft Docs
