Image issue from a OneNote page

When creating a DevOps work item (Create a work item) and populating the Descripton from the content of a OneNote page (Get page content), any imbeded images in the page initially appear in the work item.  However, after a period of time (20-60 minutes) the image stops appearing and all that is displayed is a broken link/missing image type graphic.

Hi @DeanV,

Did you have modified your OneNote page selected in the Flow?

If you could provide us more information, we can understand the situation and assist you better:

1) Log on to One Drive and check if you are able to find the missing notebooks and sections.

2) Did you check OneNote recycle bin for missing Notebook and sections?

If no, you may try the following steps and check if you are able to recover the missing data.

Open OneNote, click on History, click on the drop-down next to Notebook Recycle BinRight-click and select the option Move or Copy, if you find the missing data select the data and move it back to OneNote.

If no, then please check the article on how to recover the missing files:

Hope it helps. Please post us with the required information if the issue persists.

@v-litu-msft ,

The process is as follows:

  • Flow with the following steps
    • When a new page is created in a section
    • Get page content
    • Create a work item ("description": "@body('Get_page_content')")
  • New page is created in OneNote and moved to the correct Section
  • Flow triggers and runs
  • End result in DevOps is missing the image

Hi @DeanV,

I have tested on my side that gets the OneNote content then adds it into the Description of work item in the Azure DevOps, but it not run successfully cause it has the error when a Click the view image: "Something failed, the API cannot share any more information at the time of the request", so you could not access the OneNote Image via the API.Annotation 2019-09-04 180618.png

Or, you can get the content of OneNote Page, then to create an HTML file in the SharePoint.

After that, refer to the following method to upload to the work item attachment:
