I am using the 'Post message as the Flow Bot' action to post Microsoft Teams 'message body content' to a Teams channel. It works, but the resultant post contains extraneous HTML.
If I use 'Post a message' action instead of the flow bot (i.e. post the message as myself), it works perfectly.
Hi @DoowopDobbo ,
Could you share a screenshot of your flow?
When testing this issue on my side, there are no extraneous HTML appear.
Best regards,
Mabel
Many thanks for the reply. Please see attached. Regards, Julian
Hi @DoowopDobbo ,
Thanks for the screenshot.
I have just tested using the similar configuration with you. However, the issue still could not be reproduced.
Are you still having the issue? Could you try with a different browser?
Best regards,
Mabel
Hi Mabel, many thanks for the reply.
Looking back at my original post, I haven't been clear with some detail. The frst part of the flow is 'When a new channel message is added' to Teams. This message arrives via an HTML formatted email to the channel's email address. This is when the flow kicks in.
Is it possible for you to test with an HTML formatted email sent to the channel?
Hi @DoowopDobbo ,
Thanks for updating with more details.
Please try adding action Html to text to convert the email body to plain text first, then post it in the Teams channel.
Best regards,
Mabel
Many thanks for the reply Mabel.
Using the HTML to text action works, however, the text contains some really long hyperlinks which ends up making the text unreadable (see attached).
The whole flow works perfectly without the above HTML conversion if I post the message as myself rather than the FlowBot. This makes me think it's a bug in the 'Post as FlowBot' code?
Hi @DoowopDobbo ,
As the issue could not be reproduced from my side.
Could you please share a URL to the flow? I will help involve more resources into this issue for further investigation.
Best regards,
Mabel
Hi Mabel,
You'll have to excuse my naivety on this, but is sharing the URL to the Flow as simple as copying from the address bar?
If so, do logon credentials come into this?
Regards,
Julian
Hi Mabel,
I'm not sure if you received my post, but is sharing the URL to the Flow as simple as copying from the address bar?
If so, do logon credentials come into this?
Many thanks in advance.

Julian
