Renaming a trigger causes the error "Request to Azure Resource Manager failed: WorkflowTriggerNotFound"

I'm using the "When_a_new_email_arrives_in_a_shared_mailbox_v2" trigger.

This is working properly. Now I wanted to delete the " 2" at the very end, cause it's no reason for me to have it there. I saved the Flow. All fine. But when I now triggered the Flow I get the following error all the time:

Request to Azure Resource Manager failed with error: '{"error":{"code":"WorkflowTriggerNotFound","message":"The workflow 'f0828d2a-f7d0-4888-9c72-0ef71d188314' trigger 'When_a_new_email_arrives_in_a_shared_mailbox_(V2)_2' could not be found."}}'.

When I now rename it back to the original with " 2" at the end, it works again also when triggered.

Re: Renaming a trigger causes the error "Request to Azure Resource Manager failed: WorkflowTriggerNotFound"

I'm not able to reproduce it on fresh Flows.

But issue still exists here. But as the flow runs in productional I do not wanna change. So for anyone else, be careful with renaming the trigger!

Re: Renaming a trigger causes the error "Request to Azure Resource Manager failed: WorkflowTriggerNotFound"

Hi @kwoxer ,

Power Automate is a cloud service. After creating a Flow, it is equivalent to writing a program and calling it in cloud storage.

Flow execution depends on the name of the trigger and the name of the action to call different processes and output the desired data.

If you change the trigger name, you cannot use Flow from previous runs to test Flow. You need to save the flow and send an email to the specified shared mailbox to trigger the flow.

You can also reconfigure similar flows to solve this problem.

Re: Renaming a trigger causes the error "Request to Azure Resource Manager failed: WorkflowTriggerNotFound"

Ok this could be a reason indeed. So you cannot change the name and trigger an older test trigger.

But anyway, besides this I have another issue. As I said I renamed the trigger and I was thinking that all would be fine. But then a new mail came and was not triggered. The only thing Flow said was "Fix the trigger".

And all it said was that cryptic error message. I don't want to test again because I currently use it in productive. But I'm very sure that's at least a bug. As I cannot rename it without that error message.
