SharePoint action 'UnshareItem' forbidden 403

Hi,

I'm trying to use the SharePoint Action "Stop sharing an item or a folder" to block the access to a folder.

The action returns everytime:

{
"status": 403,
"message": "Exception of type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.SPConnectorException' was thrown.\r\nclientRequestId: ead389df-3c52-4410-810e-22311a56c8da\r\nserviceRequestId: ead389df-3c52-4410-810e-22311a56c8da"
}

This action works only blocking the access to a file.

User running the FLOW must have Full Control Access. We can raise this issue to Microsoft.

Workaround:

1. Use SharePoint Designer Workflow to add/remove item permission

2. If you have Plumsail - you can use the 'Change SharePoint Permission'

This is a major blocker for me at the moment.

Trying to set permissions on confidential documentsets.

Giving me 403 when I try anything that is folder content type related.

That mean Folders, Document sets, and OneNote's all fail with the same error.

Yet I can remove permissions on individual office files in the same site, library, same flow with the same connection privs.

Basically looks like that action itself just cannot handle those content types. So the name of the action is misleading Stop Sharing an item or Folder should not have the 'or folder' on it.

I am going to try the permissions Https request option that Serge Luca came up with prior to these actions being

MS confirmed this won't work for SP folders

Already done and more 😀!!!

Thanks to you all for the hard work you put in. Upvoted and will continue to monitor. Frustrating that their released functionality does not do what it says it does.

Thanks,

A link to that article would be appreciated

Sure, I was referring to the tech article already mentioned in the UserVoice.

Thanks so much @digitaldanlim26 ! Indeed, giving full access to the account running the flow works!
