Start an approval email doesn't send a email notification

Hi Team,


This had already happened before:


But today I noticed the same issue.

The start an approval action doesn't send an email notification.


This might be critical for many businesses using flow.

Please, resolve asap.

I have the same issue today! I thought it was because my flow is very large and has parallel actions so it's dropping some emails, but it could just be a widespread problem across all flows...

The only reason why we choose "Start an approval" instead of "Email with options" is the ability to provide comments. 

But without email notifications, it put a threat to flow implementation and its reliability. 

I hope this will be restored soon.

Could you please clarify what you mean by 'first class approvals connector'? When I search 'start an approval' from Choose an action, there's only 1 option. Typically it does send email and show up in Flows Approval Centre, but since yesterday it has been missing emails (although all approvals still show up in Flows Approval Centre)

My mistake, i misread the question! I repeated what you had already said.

I have made a test on my side and the approval email notification is sent to me successfully. The approval email notification as below:2.JPG


Please consider take a try to recreate the "Start an approval" action on your side and check if the issue is solved. If the issue still exists, please feel free to reply here.

Thank you for response and testing. 


I tried to launch a flow and it works at least for now. 


Please note, that during that day some running instances of the same flow were sending email notifications and some not. Considering this, we can't be sure that it works properly as this is an unstable issue.

Is there is a way to check some background logs to double-check its reliability and find the reason for such behaviour?


I can share with you the exact running instances of the flow and do everything possible on my side to help you localize the issue. 




I do have the same issue today, was working fine this moring an since this afternoon I don't receive emails from Start an Approval.


I know the flow works as I still get the notification through the Flow App and we I approve the flow continue as defined.


Any help?

Same problem here, emails are not sending intermittently

Same issue here but the approval does show up in the iOS Flow app.  Users do not receive an email however. Gerr...
